My Country ♥️

         


           My country is Sri lanka and it is located in the Indian Ocean.Sri Lanka is a beautiful island with many natural resources .My country is also referred to as "the pearl of the Indian ocean".Even in the past,it was called by a variety of names.Some of them are Thaprobane ,Serendib, Ceylon and Sihaladeepa .Sri Lanka is a tropical zone country, Which is closer to the equator . My country is also known as an agricultural and a developing country .It has a population of more than twenty million people .Sri Jayawardanapura Kotte is the legislative capital of Sri Lanka .My country is divided into nine provinces and twenty five districts. 

  


           There are many ethnic groups living in Sri Lanka,peacefully and cooperatively. Sinhalese,Tamils,Muslims and Burghers are the main races in my country.Rice is considered as the staple food and a main crop in Sri Lanka . Garments ,tea, rubber ,coconut ,spices and gems are the leading exports of my country .                 It gained independence from the British in nineteen fourty-eight.The independence day in my country is celebrated annually on fourth of February . Sri Lanka is one of the most attractive tourists destination in the world .It consists of mountains ,waterfalls ,rivers,beaches and many more charming places .My country also has world heritage sites as well as historical and religious locations.I am so proud to be a Sri Lankan and I love my country very much.

My Pet Animal

       My pet animals are the fishes in my aquarium. They are very sparkling and colourful. Mostly i have goldfish and barb species since they look beautiful and require less maintenance.               Watching them swimming across the aquarium relaxes our minds and makes us happy. I frefer giving fish food  twice a day and they gather towards the surface to get the hold of it. The playing of the fishes around the food is quite a funny moment to watch.                               I change the water of the aquarium every 10-15 days to make it look beautiful and clean. I have also put lot of LED lightings around the aquarium, which looks astonishing during nights . Fishes are the most cost -effective  and low maintenance pet ,and anyone can keep them.                                                                                                                                  I love to see my aquarium filled with different types of fish and take care of each fish with love.

A trip I went on recently

          During the year end vaccation my family members and I went on a trip to sigiriya😍.It was a two day trip.we left home early in the morning and reached there in the afternoon .                                                   We were amazed to see the huge Sigiriya rock which is a world heritage.We walked through the beautiful garden with ponds and foutains of water and entered the rock from the lion's gate .While we were climbing the rock we saw the world famous Sigiri Frescoes on the sides of the rock. At the top of the rock we saw the ruins Of the place of the King Kashyapa.I also saw the Sigiri Graffiti and the Mirror  wall .It was one of my unforgettable trip♥️.
